Insurance Verification Representative

Job Summary

Ensuring smooth patient visits, the full-time remote Insurance Verification Representative will verify insurance information, obtain authorizations for HMO patients, and respond to customer inquiries regarding insurance coverage and claims processing.

Key responsibilities

• Contact insurance companies and patients to verify insurance information and obtain necessary authorizations
• Verify claims are mailed to the correct address and communicate with relevant parties to facilitate authorizations or referrals
• Respond to customer inquiries about insurance coverage and claims processing while adhering to university policies

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent relevant experience
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
• Ability to learn new procedures and adapt to changing priorities
• Proficiency in using office software and relevant computer applications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders
