Insurance Verification Specialist

Job Summary

To support a leading pharmaceutical company, the remote Insurance Verification Specialist will verify insurance coverage, conduct benefit investigations, and resolve reimbursement issues through inbound and outbound communications with patients, providers, and pharmacies.

Key responsibilities:

• Verify patient eligibility, benefits, and coverage with insurance carriers
• Process prior authorization requests for medications, services, and procedures
• Document all activities in the system for tracking and audits

Required qualifications:

• Minimum of 1-year recent experience with medical insurance
• Solid working knowledge of insurance verification, benefit investigation, or prior authorizations
• Proficiency in navigating multiple systems and Microsoft Suite (Excel and Outlook)
• Professional communication skills, both verbal and written
• Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities within operational guidelines
