Insurance Verification Specialist

Job Summary

To ensure successful financial clearance for scheduled patient services, the full-time Insurance Verification Specialist will perform insurance verifications, secure authorizations, and collaborate with various departments while working in a hybrid remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Secure HMO referrals and verify benefits prior to patient services
• Contact insurance companies to initiate authorizations and follow up on decisions
• Document account activity accurately in the EMR to support financial clearance

Required qualifications

• Associates' degree in business, healthcare, or related field, or 3 years of Revenue Cycle experience
• 3 years of prior Epic experience required
• Knowledge of medical terminology and diagnostic/CPT coding preferred
• Strong initiative and problem-solving ability in a high-pressure environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is strongly preferred
