Intake Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting patient access to care, the fully remote Intake Specialist will coordinate referrals, review clinical documentation, and ensure accurate service setup while communicating with patients and internal teams in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review medical records and payer guidelines to determine patient eligibility and compliance prior to service delivery
• Communicate with patients about financial responsibilities and collect payments as necessary
• Work with referral sources and clinical teams to obtain complete documentation and ensure timely care

Required qualifications

• One (1) year of relatable work experience required
• High School Diploma or Associate's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience required
• Experience in administrative, insurance, billing, or customer service roles preferred
• Familiarity with healthcare organizations or medical supply environments is a plus
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and healthcare systems
