Integrated Absence Claims Specialist

Job Summary

Managing a workload of Short-Term Disability claims, the full-time remote Integrated Absence Claims Specialist will conduct interviews with claimants, review medical records, and make timely claim determinations in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with claimants, employers, and medical professionals to gather information regarding claims
• Collaborate with case managers and physicians to ensure appropriate and timely claim decisions
• Review complex medical records and perform accurate financial calculations in line with guidelines

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of experience in claims, leaves, or customer service
• Experience with disability and/or absence management claims
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
