Integration Engineer
Job Summary
To support an enterprise healthcare client, the contract Integration Engineer will develop and enhance HL7 v2.x interfaces, design interoperability workflows, and perform message analysis while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and support HL7 v2.x interfaces in Epic Bridges and integration engines like Cloverleaf and Rhapsody
- Design and build Epic Bridges interfaces and manage interoperability workflows, including vendor connections to Epic
- Monitor interface queues for errors, troubleshoot failures, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and security standards
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Experience with HL7 message types and integration engines such as Epic Bridges, Cloverleaf, and Rhapsody
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or JavaScript
- Knowledge of healthcare IT standards and protocols, including FHIR and EDI
- Experience with regression testing and supporting Epic upgrade cycles
