Interaction Designer/User Researcher
Job Summary
To support a DHS program, the full-time remote Interaction Designer/User Researcher/Usability Tester will conduct user research, develop personas, and perform usability testing to enhance user experience and drive adoption of various applications and systems.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and user requirements analysis to inform design decisions
- Design user interfaces and information architecture while leading iterative design activities
- Produce user requirements specifications, personas, prototypes, and facilitate usability testing sessions
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Minimum of three years of combined experience in interaction design, user research, and usability testing
- US Citizen with the ability to complete a government-issued background investigation
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust; prior Public Trust or Security Clearance preferred
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities to translate ambiguous requirements into actionable plans
