Interventional Radiology Coder

Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare team, the full-time remote Interventional Radiology Coder will provide CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding for various specialties, ensuring accurate code assignment and compliance with coding guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Code complex and simple procedures for inpatient and outpatient charts while calculating E&M leveling
• Apply diagnosis and procedure codes accurately utilizing ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS standards
• Participate in ongoing training and maintain compliance with ethical coding standards and company policies

Required qualifications

• Certification through AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P) is mandatory
• At least 2 years of on-the-job coding experience is required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook for managing data and communications
• Working knowledge of EMR and billing systems is essential
• Ability to maintain a productivity level and accuracy rate of 95% or higher
