Job Summary
To support a growing team, the full-time remote Interventional Radiology Coder will provide CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding for various specialties, ensuring compliance and accuracy in coding practices.
Key responsibilities:
- Code complex and simple procedures for inpatient and outpatient charts, calculating E&M leveling
- Accurately apply diagnosis and procedure codes utilizing ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS while interpreting coding guidelines
- Maintain compliance with ethical standards and internal policies while participating in ongoing training and education
Required qualifications:
- Certification through AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P) is mandatory
- Minimum of 2 years of on-the-job coding experience, specifically in Interventional Radiology
- Working knowledge of EMR and billing systems, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Ability to maintain a productivity level and accuracy rate of 95% or higher
- Reliable internet connection and current coding materials, including CPT and ICD-10-CM references
