Job Summary
To support coding needs for interventional radiology, the full-time remote Interventional Radiology Coder will provide CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding for both professional fee and facility services, ensuring accurate code assignment for inpatient and outpatient charts.
Key responsibilities
- Assign appropriate codes for interventional radiology procedures and calculate ProFee and Facility E/M levels
- Maintain compliance with coding guidelines and ensure documentation accuracy for reimbursement impact
- Participate in ongoing training and maintain required coding credentials while achieving productivity and quality standards
Required qualifications
- Certification through AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P)
- Minimum of 1 year of on-the-job coding experience, specifically in interventional radiology
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Working knowledge of EMR and billing systems
- Ability to maintain a productivity level and accuracy rate of 95% or higher
