Job Summary
To support the ongoing development of applications for IDEA grant programs, the remote Iowa Licensed Accessibility QA Tester will focus on manual testing, accessibility validation, API testing, and SQL/database testing while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with government accessibility standards.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct manual testing and accessibility validation for applications, ensuring compliance with WCAG 2.2 AA and Section 508
- Perform API testing and SQL/database validation to verify data integrity and business rules
- Manage test planning, defect management, and documentation processes in alignment with agile methodologies
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Accessibility certification (CPACC, WAS, or equivalent) is mandatory
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in QA testing, specifically in accessibility compliance for government applications
- Strong background in manual QA testing, including functional, regression, and UAT testing
- Experience with API testing and SQL queries for database validation
