Job Summary
To support a growing team, the full-time Iowa Licensed Commercial Underwriter will manage a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, underwrite new business submissions, and collaborate with stakeholders in a remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite new business submissions, renewals, and endorsements while ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines
- Oversee the growth and profitability of an underwriting territory, providing performance reports and action plans to leadership
- Collaborate with sales, claims, and agency partners to foster relationships and support agency action plans
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in commercial multi-line underwriting
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field
- Completion of a certificate in General Insurance and Associate in Underwriting program
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to mentor and support team development
