IT and Security Manager

Job Summary

Owning the dual functions of security and IT operations, the full-time Head of IT & Security will design and execute a comprehensive security program, manage incident response, and oversee IT support while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and continuously improve the security program using NIST CSF 2.0 and CIS Controls v8.1
• Manage the MDR platform for threat detection and serve as the primary responder for escalated security incidents
• Lead SOC 2 readiness activities, including control mapping and audit coordination

Required Qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience in IT operations and security, with a preference for 10+ years
• Experience managing alerts from an MDR/EDR platform and responding to confirmed incidents
• Demonstrated experience owning a compliance program such as SOC 2 or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• Hands-on experience with Google Workspace and MDM platforms
