IT Audit Subject Matter Expert
Job Summary
Serving as the senior technical authority for audit readiness, the remote IT Audit Subject Matter Expert (SME) will manage compliance assessments, risk management, and operational accountability within the Warehouse Management System (WMS) environment, focusing on evaluating business processes and ensuring adherence to federal audit requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Leads WMS audit-readiness assessments and evaluates internal controls for operational and financial accountability
- Traces transactions through WMS/SAP systems to validate auditability and compliance
- Develops and maintains audit documentation, corrective action plans, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance internal controls
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Cybersecurity, Finance, or a related discipline
- Minimum 8 years of experience in IT audit, financial audit readiness, or related audit-assurance activities
- At least 5 years of experience with DoD/federal ERP, logistics, or warehouse-management systems
- Proven experience in internal-control assessments, control design, and corrective-action development
- Working knowledge of federal and DoD audit frameworks, such as OMB Circular A-123 and GAO Standards for Internal Control
