IT Category Manager
Job Summary
Seeking a dynamic IT Category Manager on a 1099 contractor basis who will manage supplier relationships, negotiate agreements, and develop procurement strategies while working remotely during Eastern time business hours.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with leadership to align demands and priorities for IT and Supply Management
- Manage a portfolio of suppliers and clients, overseeing agreements, renewals, and risk management activities
- Lead the negotiation of supplier agreements and develop category strategies to control costs and ensure supply continuity
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Supply Management, Economics, Computer Science, or Information Systems
- 7+ years of experience in Supply Management, Procurement, or IT Business Office roles
- Strong knowledge of the IT marketplace and experience with IT services and suppliers
- Demonstrable negotiation skills and experience with application development agreements
- Ability to lead cross-functional meetings and communicate effectively with stakeholders
