IT Governance Risk Compliance Executive

Job Summary

Leading the establishment and maturation of the IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance function, the full-time salaried IT Governance Risk Compliance Executive will drive AI-assisted compliance strategies and oversee regulatory frameworks such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and GDPR in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the transition to continuous, AI-assisted compliance operations, including the drafting and maintenance of SOPs and controlled documentation
• Establish automated compliance gap detection capabilities across code, configuration, and infrastructure
• Define and enforce agentic development rules and policies to ensure compliance in software development processes

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 15+ years of leadership experience in IT security, risk, compliance, or GRC, with a focus on regulated environments
• Experience implementing AI in compliance and quality workflows, ensuring auditor acceptance
• Strong knowledge of security and privacy frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and GDPR
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, data governance, and modern engineering practices, particularly in Microsoft Azure environments
