IT Operations and Security Lead

Job Summary

Owning day-to-day IT operations, the full-time IT Operations and Security Lead will manage employee device lifecycles, administer Google Workspace, and support compliance efforts for SOC 2 while working remotely across the U.S.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee procurement, setup, onboarding, and offboarding of employee devices, as well as manage IT vendors and budget
• Collaborate with the Director of Security and Compliance to maintain organized compliance evidence and support cybersecurity audits
• Provide helpdesk support and create self-service documentation to enhance team efficiency in resolving common IT issues

Required qualifications

• 5+ years in IT operations or systems administration, with at least 2 years managing IT for an organization
• Direct experience supporting a SOC 2 audit, including evidence collection and operating controls
• Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, MacOS, and preferably Linux) and SaaS administration
• Ability to communicate clearly and patiently with non-technical colleagues
• Experience creating documentation and standard operating procedures
