IT Security Director

Job Summary

Leading the company's IT operations and cybersecurity initiatives, the full-time remote IT Security Director will manage day-to-day IT functions, oversee compliance programs, and ensure secure technology environments for both government and commercial clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the IT function, including supervision and development of IT staff and overseeing end-user support and technology operations
• Serve as the primary owner of the information security program, conducting risk assessments and implementing appropriate security controls
• Coordinate compliance and audit initiatives, maintaining documentation and working with external auditors and regulatory stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of progressive experience in IT, cybersecurity, or information security disciplines
• 3+ years of leadership or people management experience
• Experience with recognized security frameworks such as NIST 800-171, SOC 2, or ISO 27001
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, and security technologies
