ITSM Consultant

Job Summary

To lead the strategy and implementation of an enterprise Configuration Management Database program, the remote Senior ITSM Consultant will engage with clients, oversee design and governance, and ensure alignment between technical teams and executive sponsors.

Key responsibilities

• Own the CMDB strategy, design, governance, and implementation outcomes, serving as the primary voice to executive sponsors
• Lead the implementation process from current-state assessment through design, build oversight, and operational handoff
• Develop and deliver communication and training strategies to facilitate organizational change and adoption of configuration management practices

Required qualifications

• Eight or more years in IT Service Management, with at least three years leading CMDB or Service Configuration Management initiatives
• Direct experience leading an enterprise ServiceNow CMDB implementation through go-live
• Demonstrated expertise in CMDB design, including data modeling and quality management
• ITIL 4 Foundation certification and experience with organizational change management methods
• Strong executive communication and project management skills
