Japanese Language Lead
Job Summary
To support high-quality translation projects, the freelance Japanese Language Lead will oversee linguistic quality, provide guidance to linguists, and manage team performance while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality translation and revision work that meets defined quality KPIs
- Provide linguistic and cultural consultancy specific to Japanese
- Support continuous monitoring and improvement of linguistic quality across assigned accounts
Required qualifications
- Native-level fluency in Japanese and strong command of English
- Proven working knowledge of CAT tools
- Proven experience as a translator and/or proofreader for large international brands
- Previous experience as a Language Lead or in a similar role with team management responsibilities
- Preferred subject matter expertise in tourism, IT, or healthcare
