Job Summary
Working remotely on a part-time contract basis, the Japanese Translation Editor will review and refine technical learning content for the Data Center Technician program, ensuring clarity and accuracy in Japanese translations derived from English originals and AI-generated drafts.
Key Responsibilities
- Review AI-generated Japanese translations against English source content, correcting errors and improving phrasing
- Restructure sentences to ensure clarity and appropriateness for Japanese learners while preserving technical meaning
- Edit content directly in Codio, maintaining formatting and structure of lessons and assessments
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Professional experience in English-to-Japanese translation and substantive Japanese editing
- Excellent written Japanese and strong English reading comprehension
- Ability to explain editorial decisions while adapting structure and phrasing
- Experience applying style guides and glossaries, and researching terminology
- Comfort reviewing AI-generated translations and ensuring the quality of final content
