Job Summary
To support a growing team, the contract Java Backend Developer will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot while working remotely for a duration of 12+ months with possible extension.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot
- Build and operate cloud-native microservices deployed on AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Troubleshoot production incidents and drive root-cause analysis to improve system performance and resilience
Required qualifications
- Professional experience building production backend systems in Java
- Strong hands-on expertise with Spring Boot and modern microservice patterns
- Proven experience deploying services to AWS, GCP, or Azure using containers
- Solid track record with CI/CD, automated testing, and code review discipline
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams
