Java Developer
Job Summary
Working remotely on a contract basis, an experienced Java Developer will design, develop, and maintain web applications and backend services while leveraging the Java/Spring ecosystem and AWS services.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications using Java SDK 21 and Spring Boot
- Build and enhance REST APIs and JSON-based integrations, while supporting smaller web applications
- Collaborate on application architecture, code reviews, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab
Required qualifications
- Strong professional experience developing applications with Java, specifically Java 21 or recent versions
- Solid experience with Spring Boot and Spring-based application development
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs, with a strong working knowledge of JSON
- Familiarity with front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Practical experience developing and deploying applications in AWS
