Job Summary
Supporting a mission-critical application modernization program, the full-time Java Software Engineer will maintain and troubleshoot Java Spring Boot applications, ensuring stability and continuity throughout the modernization effort, while working in a hybrid environment based in Reston, VA.
Key responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve defects in Java Spring Boot applications
- Develop and implement patches according to the established release schedule
- Document legacy application capabilities to support the successor system
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of experience working with Java, Spring Boot, and SQL
- Demonstrated ability to understand, troubleshoot, and modify existing application code safely
- U.S. citizenship required, with eligibility to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
