Job Summary
To support the Department of State's Cyber Security Team, the hybrid remote Journeyman Information Assurance Security Specialist will manage RMF analysis, develop authorization artifacts, and coordinate evidence collection for consular systems under the guidance of Pod Lead and RMF Lead.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop system descriptions, boundaries, inventories, and categorization documentation
- Apply control baselines and document implementation statements, including evidence references and known gaps
- Collect and maintain evidence from technical teams and support various reviews and assessments
Required Qualifications:
- U.S. citizenship and a final Secret clearance or higher
- Relevant degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information systems, or a related discipline
- Practical Federal RMF or ISSO experience with authorization artifacts
- Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-53, and related processes
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with stakeholder coordination experience
