Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Journeyman Virtualization Engineer, this remote position will manage and improve virtualization and Software-Defined Data Center platforms, focusing on VMware technologies while ensuring secure and scalable services across various environments.
Key responsibilities
- Configure, administer, and optimize enterprise hypervisor and Software-Defined Data Center platforms, including VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter
- Develop and maintain infrastructure automation solutions using tools like Terraform and Ansible to enhance operational efficiency
- Support the transition of infrastructure and services to centralized DISA-hosting platforms, including documentation and migration support
Required qualifications
- Active Secret clearance or higher
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of six years of relevant experience in virtualization, systems engineering, or related technical discipline
- Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter in an enterprise environment
- Experience developing and maintaining infrastructure-automation solutions
