Jr Automation Tester
Job Summary
To support a dynamic Agile development team, the Jr Automation Tester will perform functional testing, develop and execute automated test scripts, and participate in test planning activities, with the flexibility to work remotely or onsite if local to Maryland.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, and API testing of web-based applications while developing and maintaining automated test scripts using tools like Selenium and Postman
- Participate in requirements reviews and sprint ceremonies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage
- Analyze business requirements and create test cases, executing automated tests through CI/CD pipelines and troubleshooting any issues that arise
Required qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or a related technical role
- Hands-on experience with functional testing and test case development for web applications or APIs
- Basic to intermediate programming or scripting experience using Java or JavaScript
- Familiarity with test automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or similar frameworks
- Understanding of relational databases and experience writing simple SQL queries for data validation
