Jumbo Underwriter
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Jumbo Underwriter to join the AIO Underwriting Team in a full-time capacity, this role focuses on evaluating complex Jumbo loan files and making informed credit decisions while adhering to company and regulatory guidelines.
Key responsibilities
- Underwrite Jumbo mortgage loans in accordance with credit policies and investor requirements
- Perform comprehensive analysis of borrower credit, income, assets, liabilities, and collateral to assess loan eligibility
- Communicate regularly with Loan Officers and Processors regarding loan decisions and outstanding conditions
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of mortgage underwriting experience with significant recent Jumbo underwriting experience
- Strong knowledge of Jumbo lending guidelines and complex borrower scenarios
- Extensive experience analyzing self-employed borrowers and complex income documentation
- Proficiency with mortgage loan origination systems; experience with Byte is a plus
- Ability to interpret and apply detailed underwriting and credit guidelines
