Junior Cost Estimator

Job Summary

Joining the Project Controls team remotely, the Junior Cost Estimator will support the development and construction of EV charging infrastructure projects by reviewing drawings, performing quantity take-offs, and developing cost estimates, making it an ideal opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals with a background in construction or engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Review civil, electrical, architectural, and construction drawings to identify project scope and cost drivers
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs, averaging 6-8 per week, and develop indicative cost estimates for EV charging projects
• Assist senior estimators with RFP efforts, including managing RFIs and reviewing contractor bids

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction science, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
• 0-2 years of experience in a relevant field, including internships or co-ops
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Basic understanding of construction estimating and quantity take-offs
• Familiarity with construction/project management software such as Bluebeam Revu or AutoCAD is a plus
