Junior Financial Analyst
Job Summary
Supporting financial planning and budgeting for Federal Client screening programs, the full-time Junior Financial Analyst will maintain spend plans, analyze variances, and prepare financial reporting while working remotely with senior financial staff.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain budget and spend-plan trackers, validating Government-provided financial data and historical funding records
- Compare planned and actual spending, researching discrepancies and flagging concerns for senior review
- Assist in preparing future-year budget inputs and analyses for the PPBE/PPBES process
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 0-2 years of relevant financial or analytical support experience, including internships or academic projects
- Familiarity with PPBE concepts and basic budget formulation and variance analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables
- U.S. Citizenship required by federal client; Public Trust Clearance needed
