Junior Power BI Developer
Job Summary
To support the Department of Veterans Affairs, the remote Junior Power BI Developer will develop, maintain, and document Power BI dashboards and reports that communicate training burden and workforce development metrics to stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Help develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to communicate key metrics across training and workforce datasets
- Create intuitive data visualizations using Power BI, applying best practices in layout and user experience
- Write basic DAX calculations and measures to support reporting requirements and ensure accurate metrics across dashboards
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in data analytics, information systems, computer science, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience working with Power BI, including dashboard development and basic data modeling concepts
- Foundational knowledge of DAX and Power Query
- Understanding of data visualization best practices and effective communication of analytical findings
- Ability to learn and apply federal data governance, reporting standards, and accessibility requirements
