Junior Security Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing cybersecurity team, the full-time Junior Security Engineer will investigate security incidents, manage remediation plans, and work with various security technologies in a hybrid office environment.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and respond to escalated security incidents, identifying root causes and driving resolution
• Support the remediation of security threats and vulnerabilities identified through various security operations
• Create regular security reports and provide meaningful insights to management while collaborating with IT and business teams

Required qualifications

• Minimum 5 to 8 years' experience in IT with a focus on security roles
• Knowledge of security technologies including SIEM, DLP, and antivirus/antimalware solutions
• Experience working in or with a Security Operations Centre managing security issues and incidents
• CISSP/CCSP/SSCP/CEH/CompTIA Security+ accreditation or equivalent practical experience
• Qualifications in Azure/AWS or other cloud environments or equivalent practical experience
