Junior Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support a mission-driven team, the remote Junior Software Engineer will build and ship features and bug fixes across the full stack, focusing on SQL Server queries and stored procedures that power .NET Core APIs and React user interfaces.
Key responsibilities
- Build and ship well-defined features and bug fixes, primarily working with SQL Server and .NET Core
- Follow best practices for code quality, testing, and development processes with guidance from colleagues
- Take ownership of work through launch and address bugs and performance issues proactively
Required qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in software development through professional, internship, academic, or personal projects
- A BS degree or equivalent professional experience or certifications
- Working knowledge of SQL Server, including T-SQL, stored procedures, and query optimization
- Familiarity with C# and .NET Core, including building or consuming REST APIs
- Understanding of full-stack development and data flow from SQL Server to React front end
