Job Summary
To support the Department of Veterans Affairs' Procurement Systems Management, the remote Junior Software Tester will engage in manual testing of C#, Visual Studio, and .NET-based applications, focusing on functional, regression, exploratory, and smoke testing while collaborating within Agile teams.
Key responsibilities
- Perform functional, regression, exploratory, and smoke testing to validate system behavior
- Review requirement documentation and develop clear test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria
- Work within Agile/Scrum teams to ensure high-quality product releases and communicate test progress to stakeholders
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science or a technical field
- Knowledge of software testing with the ability to become proficient in Visual Studio, C#, and .NET-based applications
- Understanding of QA methodologies and Agile principles
- Ability to perform manual testing with solid documentation skills
