Junior Systems Administrator
Job Summary
Supporting day-to-day IT operations in a remote contract role, the Junior Systems Administrator will maintain server infrastructure, monitor system performance, and ensure operational compliance while collaborating with the IT Operations team.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with IT Operations team members to support the availability and performance of infrastructure and operating systems
- Maintain documentation for supported systems, configurations, and operational tasks
- Monitor performance metrics and proactively identify hardware and software issues to ensure system reliability
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Minimum of 4 years of IT Operations experience
- Strong working knowledge of Linux operating systems; Windows Server experience preferred
- Experience managing virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V or VMware
- Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, and enterprise-scale backup solutions
