Junior Test Engineer

Job Summary

To improve the quality and usability of the VOR platform, the full-time Junior Test Engineer will test web applications, APIs, and AI-enabled workflows in a hybrid work environment, collaborating with developers and product owners to identify and document defects while learning automation techniques.

Key responsibilities:

• Test VOR's web interfaces, APIs, and workflows, exploring real user scenarios and edge cases to identify issues
• Document defects with clear reproduction steps and evidence, while using approved AI tools to enhance testing efforts
• Build and maintain automated tests with guidance, focusing on repeatable checks that ensure important user journeys function correctly

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related fields and 1 year of professional experience
• 2+ years of foundational experience with software testing or development through employment, internships, coursework, or personal projects
• Basic understanding of functional, regression, and exploratory testing
• Willingness to learn scripting and test automation using languages such as Python or JavaScript/TypeScript
• Strong analytical skills and persistence to investigate issues when the cause is unclear
