Job Summary

Empathetic and driven, the remote Kansas Licensed Medicare Specialist will advocate for members applying for Medicaid and Medicare benefits, making and receiving calls while ensuring accurate enrollment and compliance with regulations during a structured, performance-driven work schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Make and receive calls to assist members with Medicaid and Medicare applications and retention
• Determine eligibility for benefits through effective questioning and clear communication of complex regulations
• Gather and verify personal and financial information for accurate enrollment and recertification

Required qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in healthcare, eligibility screening, case management, or high-touch customer service
• Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, SCHIP, or Special Needs Plans (SNP) is preferred
• Proficiency in navigating multiple software systems and databases while maintaining effective communication
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations, demonstrating patience and empathy
• Strong critical thinking skills to manage difficult conversations and clarify information
