Kentucky Licensed Coder I

Job Summary

To ensure accurate reimbursement and compliance, the full-time Kentucky Licensed Coder I will abstract information and assign appropriate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCs codes while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately abstract information from service documentation and assign appropriate codes into billing systems
• Review and resolve coding denials while maintaining compliance with established guidelines
• Communicate regularly with office managers and providers to meet organizational coding production and quality standards

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED/equivalent (required)
• 1-4 years of physician coding experience (preferred)
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification (required)
• Certification from AHIMA (CCS, CCS-P, or CCA) (required)
