Job Summary
To support pet families in Louisville, Kentucky, the part-time Kentucky Licensed Hospice Veterinarian will provide in-home hospice, palliative care, and compassionate euthanasia services, practicing independently in a mobile veterinary care environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide in-home pet hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and compassionate euthanasia services
- Travel independently to scheduled appointments and maintain accurate veterinary medical records
- Educate pet families on quality-of-life decisions and end-of-life care options with empathy and professionalism
Required qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD), BVMS, or equivalent veterinary medical degree
- Active veterinary license in Kentucky or eligibility to obtain one
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to travel between appointments
- Experience in compassionate communication during sensitive end-of-life conversations
- Availability for rotational weekend scheduling as required
