Job Summary

Managing indemnity claims remotely, the full-time Kentucky Licensed Lost Time Claims Specialist will investigate, evaluate, and determine compensability for work-related injury and disease claims while collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure effective claims management.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluates and establishes action plans for managing medical and indemnity benefits associated with injury claims
• Decides claim outcomes by applying established policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Collaborates with injured workers, employers, and medical professionals to facilitate timely return to work and manage claims costs

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
• Three years of experience in workers' compensation insurance is required
• One valid workers' compensation adjuster license is strongly preferred
• Experience in managing claims through the litigation process
• Ability to pass claims adjuster license exam(s) as assigned within 90 days of hire
