Job Summary

Responsible for thorough review of clinical documentation, the full-time Kentucky Licensed Outpatient Coder will assign ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS codes for billing and compliance while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation and diagnostic results to ensure accurate coding
• Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS codes and modifiers for various outpatient services
• Ensure compliance with internal and external reporting, research, and regulatory standards

Required qualifications

• Current Kentucky Outpatient Coder license
• Experience with ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS coding
• Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical documentation requirements
• Familiarity with billing and reimbursement processes
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting
