Knowledge Engineer

Job Summary

To support a data-driven initiative, the full-time Knowledge Engineer will evaluate and pilot semantic layers and retrieval systems, working remotely to ensure data is findable and usable by both people and AI agents.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate existing tools and platforms for semantic layers and knowledge graphs, delivering a working pilot with recommendations
• Onboard domains onto the adopted approach, expanding content coverage and creating playbooks for faster onboarding
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and codify metrics, semantics, and AI rules for usability across teams

Required qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience with SQL and Python, sufficient to work on a data science team
• 1-2 years of experience building with modern AI tooling and semantic layers, such as MetricFlow or Open Semantic Interchange
• Demonstrated experience in building knowledge graphs or retrieval systems
• Strong ability to work autonomously and make build-versus-adopt judgments
• Experience in driving platform adoption across multiple teams
