Knowledge Graph Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time salaried Knowledge Graph Engineer, the candidate will design, build, and maintain scalable knowledge graph solutions in a remote environment, translating ontologies into production systems and developing data pipelines for analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and extend the knowledge graph, including schema, ingestion pipelines, and query layer
• Build and run validation and data-governance pipelines to ensure data quality and performance
• Collaborate with data engineers and biology teams to integrate knowledge graph solutions with cloud platforms and enterprise data ecosystems

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, data engineering, AI, or a related field, with 3+ years of industry experience in data engineering
• Hands-on experience with graph databases such as Neo4j, including writing and optimizing queries in Cypher
• Working knowledge of semantic modeling concepts and standards such as RDF and OWL
• Experience designing and building APIs (e.g., REST or GraphQL) for accessing graph data
• Strong Python skills and familiarity with Google Cloud and BigQuery
