Knowledge Manager

Job Summary

To support mission objectives, the part-time Knowledge Manager will develop and maintain enterprise knowledge assets that enhance service delivery and operational efficiency, primarily working remotely with occasional on-site visits in Raleigh, NC.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a long-term knowledge management roadmap aligned with strategic goals and service delivery objectives
• Identify, gather, and synthesize knowledge assets from various sources to improve service management and program outcomes
• Promote a culture of collaboration and shared learning across state agencies while ensuring the governance of knowledge assets

Required qualifications

• Degree in Library and Information Science, Knowledge Management, Information Science, or a related field preferred; or equivalent experience
• Relevant certifications such as Knowledge-Centered Service (KCS), ITIL, or KM specialty certifications preferred
• Advanced skills in research, information analysis, and validation
• Experience in developing taxonomies and content classification strategies
• Strong customer service orientation with familiarity in public-sector service delivery best practices
