KYC Program Director

Job Summary

Owning the global strategy and execution of KYC programs, the full-time Head of KYC will manage a team of professionals, drive program design across jurisdictions, and partner with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with evolving global regulations in a remote-first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the strategic direction of Coinbase's Global KYC program, including policy and process design
• Lead a team of KYC professionals, ensuring consistent execution and performance standards across jurisdictions
• Oversee KYC issue management and provide regulatory reporting and correspondence related to global inquiries

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in managing and implementing KYC programs at financial institutions, preferably in digital assets or fintech
• In-depth knowledge of global AML, CTF, and sanctions regulations, with experience translating these into scalable KYC designs
• Proven ability to build and scale global KYC programs from design through execution
• Experience as a senior escalation point for KYC matters, advising on client risk and regulatory guidance
• Demonstrated capability to manage concurrent regulatory initiatives and deliver executive-level reporting on program performance
