Lab Billing & Coding Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Laboratory Billing & Coding Representative will manage accurate and timely billing of laboratory services, ensuring compliance with medical terminology and coding regulations while collaborating with internal and external parties.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve lab-related CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 inquiries for various stakeholders
• Edit laboratory test charges to ensure appropriate coding and modifiers are applied
• Research and resolve billing reports and work queues related to registration errors and claim edits

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D
• Knowledge of patient registration, billing processes, and medical terminology
• Basic/Intermediate Level experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
• Ability to manage a large volume of work and multitask effectively
• Experience in laboratory billing and coding is preferred
