Laboratory Manager

Job Summary

Overseeing the daily operations of a laboratory, the full-time Laboratory Manager will manage workflows including microbial culturing, DNA extraction, and protocol execution while contributing to microbiome research and development efforts in St. Louis.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the laboratory, ensuring efficient workflows and compliance with safety standards
• Develop, optimize, and implement laboratory protocols while designing and executing experiments to support research initiatives
• Analyze experimental results and communicate findings to cross-functional stakeholders

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or equivalent experience in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field
• 5+ years of hands-on laboratory experience in microbiology or molecular biology
• Experience with DNA extraction, PCR, NGS library preparation, and related techniques
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement laboratory protocols independently
• Strong organizational skills with experience managing laboratory inventory and operational workflows
