Laboratory Technician

Job Summary

Seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician for a full-time position based in Kalgoorlie, who will manage laboratory testing and analysis activities, ensuring safety, quality, and timely processing of samples while also supervising staff and maintaining records.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure a safe work environment and assist in daily laboratory management, including timely analysis of samples
• Maintain accurate records of sample submissions and oversee the organization and progress of samples through the laboratory
• Operate laboratory instruments and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures while coordinating with clients on sample progress

Required qualifications

• Professional qualifications in chemistry or a related discipline
• Experience in laboratory work, sample preparation, and chemical knowledge
• Competency in operating ICP-MS, MP-AES, and AAS instruments
• Basic understanding of computer applications and laboratory techniques
• Demonstrated experience in administration and maintaining quality systems
