Laboratory Technician

Job Summary

Overseeing daily laboratory operations, the full-time Laboratory Technician will manage compliance with regulations, coordinate experiments, and perform immunohistochemistry and flow cytometry in a biosafety-level 3+ environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage laboratory operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality control procedures
• Coordinate and schedule animal experiments, collaborating with lab staff and external partners
• Conduct laboratory tasks related to influenza vaccine research and contribute to progress reports

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a laboratory setting
• Eligibility for approval by the Federal Select Agent Program
• Experience with immunohistochemistry and flow cytometry techniques
• Ability to work in a biocontainment environment and wear personal protective equipment
