Lead Accountant

Job Summary

Owning the execution layer of Hologram's accounting function, the full-time Lead Accountant will manage the monthly close, balance sheet reconciliations, and revenue recognition support under ASC 606 while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Run the monthly close, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and GAAP financial statements
• Own the compliance calendar and manage corporate compliance tasks, including state and local tax notices
• Oversee collections and accounts receivable, generating customer invoices and managing billing schedules

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience with full-cycle month-end close ownership
• Strong understanding of GAAP, including hands-on experience in revenue recognition and multi-state compliance
• Experience in a startup or high-growth environment, building processes from the ground up
• Revenue recognition experience (ASC 606) in a usage-based or multi-element billing environment
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort with learning new systems quickly
